My philosophy is that we should never stop learning. I emphasize improving our processes and design through AI learning and prototyping. Cursor, Figma and conversational AI can all be used to improve the user experience. I push teams to find efficiencies through our use of AI to distill customer research and analysis to determine patterns and define actionable outcomes for our work. AI has opened up exciting new ways to dig deeper, faster, and help smooth communication between design and development teams like never before.
I believe in the values of efficient work, team collaboration and personal humility. In our industry there are a lot of smart, talented people and it’s important that we focus on the work, and manage personal ego so it does not come at the expense of collaborative excellence. Adaptability, relentless improvement, design rigour and lifelong learning are values I hold very dear, and values I try to instill in all of my teams.
With over 8 years at Shopify, I specialize in driving product design innovation as the Senior Product Design Manager, focusing on analytics and AI prototyping to empower merchant success. My role involves leading cross-functional teams to create impactful solutions that address the diverse needs of Shopify’s global merchants.
