Overview
For four years, I led Shopify’s Partner Channels design team, working with partners like Facebook, Google, TikTok, and Amazon to help merchants reach the right customers and grow sales.
Methodology
I led design for channel apps with key partners (Facebook, Google) in Shopify Admin, created guidance for other partners, and collaborated closely with partners, product, and engineering to evolve solutions.
Problem & Success Metrics
Over four years, we launched 15+ partner channels, with 30+ more built via our design kit and APIs. Each channel tracked its own marketplace-specific success metrics.
My Role
I led the design team working closely with product and engineering, and owned the design relationships with all of our partners.
Conversational AI Report Generation
Merchants needed a way to quickly and easily write reports without having to understand how to code, so we introduced conversational AI as a way to bridge the knowledge gap, and help them understand the power of our data reporting tools.
The product was born out of some scrappy sketches I shared with product and engineering.
